KANEOHE, Hawaii (Island News) — Weekend downpours turned the normally tranquil waterfall along the Kea’ahala Stream into raging rapids.
“Occasionally the stream rages, when there’s a lot of rain coming from the mountains, but Saturday was definitely the most rain I’ve ever seen come down. There was a huge amount of water, and it was very brown just rushing through the waterfall,” said Kaneohe resident Melissa May.
