BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A statement included in the recall petition against two Kern High School District trustees has been determined to be “false and misleading” by the court, according to Area 3 Trustee David Manriquez.
The petition sought to recall Manriquez and Area 2 Trustee Steven Rodrigue after they voted against a resolution condemning transgender athletes. The other three trustees on the KHSD Board — J. Bryan Batey, Kathy Scrivner and Derek Tisinger — voted in support of the resolution.
