CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. — A man has pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend and dumping her body near a popular Ringgold nature trail.
Joseph Mays, 34, entered a guilty plea earlier this month to malice murder in the death of 36 year old Jamie Wiley, according to the Lookout Mountain Judicial District Attorney.
Wiley’s body was discovered January 18th, 2025 near the creek alongside the Chief Richard Taylor Nature Trail after members of a walking group found her off the path.
Prosecutors say Mays shot Wiley in the head the night before while the two were inside her camper at an RV park in Catoosa County…
