Proposed bill would freeze property values for seniors in three North Alabama counties

MORGAN CO., Ala. (WAFF) – Alabama lawmakers are considering a bill that would limit property tax increases for adults 65 and older in Morgan, Limestone and Lawrence counties.

Homeowners in that age group are already exempt from paying state property taxes, but they are often not exempt from local property taxes.
