Stride for Sophia 5K seeks to raise awareness and open conversation about mental health struggles – March 7
ARAB, Ala. – The Stride for Sophia 5K will take place Saturday, March 7, at 9 a.m. at Arab City Park, inviting the community to celebrate the memory of 15-year-old Sophia Aldridge while raising awareness for youth mental health.
The race will not be officially timed, allowing participants to walk or run at their own pace. Medals will be awarded to the top four female runners, the top four male runners and the top four runners age 10 and younger. Participants are encouraged to wear pink, Sophia’s favorite color.
