Woman punched in the face on NYC train; police searching for suspect

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault on a subway train in the Bronx.

A 21-year-old woman was on the southbound No.5 train on Third Avenue on Dec. 29 when she was punched in the face multiple times just before 2 p.m., police said. She was taken to a local hospital and recovered from her injuries.

The suspect is described as 21 to 25 years old, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater, dark gray pants, black sneakers and holding a black jacket.
