CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Cedar Rapids School District held a work session Monday to outline what staffing could look like for the next school year, drawing more than 20 speakers — many of them Washington High School parents, staff, and grandparents.
The district is looking to cut 33 teaching positions district-wide. Seven of those reductions would come from Washington High School on the city’s southeast side, with five more slated for Jefferson High School and fewer than one from Kennedy High School.
