LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — Huntington Elementary School was named the 2026 Inspire School of the Year Tuesday, receiving a $5,000 check from the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools.
The Inspire School of the Year is the highest honor given to an LPS school or program, recognizing outstanding academic achievement and progress toward school improvement goals.
The award comes the same school year Huntington was removed from the Nebraska Department of Education’s list of schools needing comprehensive support and improvement…
