Rockford sees highest rate of domestic violence crimes in years

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Domestic violence-related crimes in Rockford reached their highest percentage in years this January, increasing 66% compared to the same month last year.

The Mayor’s Office of Domestic and Community Violence Prevention presented the data during a committee meeting Tuesday to address the spike and discuss resources for victims.
