SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Medical staff leaders for PeaceHealth RiverBend finalized ballots Tuesday for a vote of no confidence in hospital leadership, three weeks after the hospital announced a move to switch emergency medicine providers.
Early this month, PeaceHealth Oregon Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kim Ruscher said the hospital would allow its contracts with Eugene Emergency Physicians to expire in Cottage Grove and RiverBend, and the hospital would move forward with ApolloMD to staff its emergency departments.
The move would affect 41 employees, including 32 physicians and nine physician’s assistants, who would be out of jobs at the contract’s end, though PeaceHealth expressed hope those staff would return through ApolloMD…
