SPOKANE, Wash. — The driver of the STA double-decker bus who crashed into a viaduct in downtown Spokane on January 18th, injuring seven people, was cited for 2nd degree negligent driving.
According to the police report, Wayne Morgan, 65, was driving the bus. He told police he was following the map and GPS provided by STA on his route. Police noted impairment was not a factor.
One officer wrote in the police report, they cited the driver because he was driving the double-decker bus under a bridge that is ‘clearly marked and impassible by the vehicle he was operating.’…
