MANOA, Hawaii (Island News) – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being run over by a vehicle in the Manoa area, according to the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
The collision happened at approximately 10:09 a.m. at the intersection of Alexander St. and Dole St.
It was reported that a 59-year-old man was driving westbound on Dole St. and made a left turn onto Alexander St. when he struck an 82-year-old woman who was crossing in a marked crosswalk.
The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) responded to the scene around 10:13 a.m. and helped to rescue the 82-year-old woman who was reportedly trapped underneath an SUV. HFD crews were able to get the woman out using pneumatic lifting devices…
