PITTSFIELD TWP., MI – All roads nearby a train derailment last week in Pittsfield Township have reopened.
Thirteen train cars derailed around 5 a.m., Feb. 18 in the township, closing Payeur Road between State Street Road and Marton Road and Morgan Road between Venture Drive and Stone School Road. The train derailed in the 5500 block of Marton Road.
Morgan Road reopened Feb. 19, while Payeur Road reopened Feb. 20, according to the Pittsfield Township Police Department. Remaining roadways reopened on Feb. 23.
No one was injured, and no vehicles were involved, police said. None of the cars were carrying hazardous materials, police said…
