Man shot, killed by Parma police identified

PARMA, Ohio (WJW) — The man who died after an officer-involved shooting in Parma Tuesday, Feb. 24, has been identified.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him Wednesday as 29-year-old Ricardo Davis of Parma.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Commerce Parkway and Brookpark Road, officials told FOX 8 News.

Parma officers responded just before 1 p.m. to nearby apartments for a welfare check after Davis was reportedly making suicidal statements. They did not find him at the residence, but did find evidence indicating he had been planning to harm himself…
