Joy Road Horror: Detroit Driver Bolts After Killing Woman In Hit-And-Run

Detroit police are hunting for a hit-and-run driver who took off after striking a pedestrian at Joy Road and Livernois just before 6:10 a.m. on Feb. 7. The 32-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital, where she later died, according to authorities. The driver never stuck around to talk to officers, and the case remains under active investigation.

According to FOX 2 Detroit, investigators say the suspect vehicle is a black, newer-model Hyundai Tucson that was seen heading west on Livernois after the crash. The 32-year-old victim was taken to a hospital, where she later died, police told the station.

Detectives also believe the at-fault driver may have dropped off a person near Littlefield while fleeing.
