Victims’ advocate Stacey Davis dies after illness

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Stacey Davis, a Fort Wayne victims’ advocate who guided grieving families through the criminal justice system for years, has died after a battle with illness.

Davis was a familiar presence at the Allen County Courthouse, where she spent countless hours alongside families of crime victims as they sought justice.

Advocacy born from personal loss

Davis lost her son, Codi McCann, to gun violence in 2016. She said keeping his memory alive was central to her work.
