GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — As violence continues in parts of Mexico after its most wanted cartel leader was killed over the weekend, civil unrest is creating challenges for some travelers.
Megan Roth from Grand Rapids was supposed to come home on Monday. Instead, she’s stuck on an extended trip about an hour away from Puerto Vallarta where much of the violence has occurred.
“Travel has definitely been impacted. It looks like I’ll be here for probably at least another four to five days just due to flight delays and things like that, but thankful to be in a really safe spot in the midst of all of the uncertainty,” Roth said…
