Knoxville police chief talks safety on roadways, Mounted Patrol Unit

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville Police Department Chief Paul Noel joined WVLT News Tuesday afternoon to discuss safety on East Tennessee roadways, a recent disturbing incident and the Mounted Patrol Unit.

A study recently released said Tennessee ranked 8th in the country for worst drivers with more than 1,300 deadly crashes recorded in 2025. It said the most common cause for crashes being dangerous or improper driving.
