MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — During Monday’s work session, Mobile County Public School Board member Johnny Hatcher urged the board to begin developing a formal policy addressing the use of so-called “smart glasses,” including products like Meta’s AI-enabled eyewear, in the public school system.
Hatcher said the rapidly evolving technology could present new challenges for academic integrity if the district does not act quickly.
“This is going to be a great way for students to cheat if we don’t get ahead of it,” Hatcher told fellow board members. “I’d like for us to be proactive and put a policy in place before this becomes an issue in our classrooms.”…
