NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — A new commercial headquarters will bring 2,000 union construction jobs to New York City, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Wednesday.
The American Express Global Headquarters is set to be built at 2 World Trade Center, with hopes of breaking ground in spring 2026 and is expected to be completed in 2031.
Hochul said the construction will create nearly two million square feet of modern office space that “will help drive Lower Manhattan’s continued growth.”
