The Wake County Sheriff’s Office said a 16-year-old is facing charges in connection with a deadly assault.
Deputies responded around 5:20 p.m. on Monday to a home in the 1200 block of Tobacco Barn Road, near Fuquay-Varina. When they arrived, they found a 12-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries consistent with an assault, the sheriff’s office said.
The girl later died at the hospital. The cause and manner of death were not specified…
