One injured, six displaced after Roanoke house fire

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A house in fire Roanoke left one person injured and six people displaced, according to the Roanoke Fire and EMS Department.

At 12:20am on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026 crews responded to reports of a home in the 2700 block of Brambleton Ave. SW with smoke. Crews said they arrived to see a fire coming from behind the residence.

Crews extinguished the home at approximately 1:18 a.m., according to the department.

One person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries; six people were displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross, crews said…
