SAVE America Act concerns St. Pete voting advocacy group

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The League of Women Voters of the St. Petersburg area is asking the U.S. Senate to avoid taking up the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act or the SAVE America Act.

It was passed by the U.S. House almost two weeks ago to require a photo I.D. when voting, which is already law in Florida. The legislation also requires proof of citizenship when registering to vote.
