Santa Rosa Pickup Slams Into Home After Crash, Cops Bust Driver for Suspected DUI

Last Saturday, on Burbank Avenue, it turned chaotic when a pickup truck barreled into the front of a Santa Rosa home after first colliding with another vehicle, according to police. A juvenile was inside the other car, and the driver is now facing suspected DUI and child-endangerment charges.

The Santa Rosa Police Department said officers were called around 6 PM to the 800 block of Burbank Avenue, where they found the truck lodged against the house. The crash, documented as case number 26-1891, left the residence with significant front-end damage. At the scene, officers launched a DUI investigation and administered a chemical breath test to the driver, which police say showed a blood-alcohol concentration of approximately 0.25%, as reported by CBS San Francisco.

Local reporting identified the driver as 37-year-old Diocelina Palacio-Soriano of Santa Rosa. She was arrested and booked on suspicion of violating Vehicle Code 23153(a) for DUI causing injury, Vehicle Code 23152(b) for driving with a BAC of 0.08% or higher, and Penal Code 273a(a) for child endangerment, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department. Reports from the scene state the truck first hit another car that had a juvenile passenger, then continued on into the front of the home, resulting in structural damage.
