MILLBURY, Ohio — A local school district is under a two-hour delay Tuesday after learning of a “potential threat” to school safety the night before.
Working with the Lake Township Police Department, staff did a sweep of the building for safety and determined that there is no credible threat to the schools, according to an 8:15 a.m. update from Lake Local Superintendent Marjoe Cooper. The school day will begin after the two-hour delay and an increased law enforcement presence will continue to be on campus during the day.
“We understand these situations may cause anxiety and/or apprehension with attending school and we will support those feelings and allow students to stay home if they feel the need to do so without penalty today,” Cooper said in the update…
