VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The second of two people charged in connection to the shooting death of Keyshawn Woodhouse will serve 40 years in prison after previously pleading guilty to multiple charges, including first-degree murder, according to the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and online court records.
In addition to the first-degree murder charge, Javon Lamonte Pollard, 21, of Portsmouth, also had pleaded guilty to charges of attempted robbery with a firearm, conspiracy, two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony and hit and run-personal injury. Circuit Court Judge Tanya Felton sentenced Pollard to 78 years in prison, with 38 years suspended, leaving Pollard 40 years to serve in prison.

Pollard had pleaded guilty to the charges last Oct. 21. Had the case gone to trial, the Commonwealth said its evidence would have proven that on Sept. 30, 2024, Pollard and Aarion Hopkins, who previously was found guilty of first-degree murder, attempted robbery, conspiracy and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony in Woodhouse’s death, met Woodhouse at a Fox Creek Court residence in Virginia Beach.
That interaction, with recorded video and audio from doorbell camera footage, showed them discussing the price of Percocet pills Woodhouse was selling to Hopkins and Pollard.
