A 24-year-old man was sent to jail after police said they found a large quantity of cash, psilocybin mushrooms, and other drugs during an early morning traffic stop in the Capital Region.
Troy resident Jaheim J. Garland was arrested in Rensselaer County at around 1 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, after troopers stopped his vehicle on High Street in Troy for a traffic violation, New York State Police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
During the stop, troopers reported seeing a large amount of psilocybin mushrooms in plain view inside the vehicle. A further search turned up what police described as an unlawful amount of cannabis packaged in multiple small quantities, along with a scale and a significant amount of cash…
