Delray Beach amends noise ordinance for first time in 13 years

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — For the first time in 13 years, Delray Beach has voted to amend its noise ordinance.

The city plans to use $7,000 handheld sound meters to measure noise levels and determine if they exceed allowable limits.

City officials say staff will begin training on the devices next month, with full implementation expected by April or May…
