ARLINGTON, Texas – A three-alarm fire at an apartment complex Monday afternoon displaced 24 residents but caused no reported injuries, according to the Arlington Fire Department.
Fire crews were dispatched at 1:34 p.m. to reports of an apartment fire in the 4900 block of Sigmond Drive. While en route, responding units observed a large column of smoke and requested a second alarm to bring additional resources to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions on the first and second floors of the building and immediately began an aggressive fire attack while conducting a primary search for occupants.
