A new, massive Asian grocery store is replacing a Baton Rouge Big Lots. See where.

Work is underway to turn the former Big Lots store at 6900 Siegen Lane into an Asian Supermarket.

The 27,650-square-foot store will be about double the size of the existing Asian Supermarket at the intersection of Florida Boulevard and South Sherwood Forest Boulevard, said owners QingLin and Yuki Chen.

The new store will feature a food court serving Asian specialty dishes, along with an expanded seafood and meat department. The additional space will allow Asian Supermarket to carry more Filipino, Indonesian and Indian items, the Chens said…
