JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Two men, who were arrested in connection to a road rage shooting of an 18-wheeler driver, were extradited back to Mississippi.
Jackson police said Alejandro Macedo, 32, and Omar Nerio, 32, appeared before a Municipal Court judge on February 24, 2026.

Macedo was charged with aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle. His bond was set at $50,000, and he was ordered to wear an ankle monitor. Police said Nerio was also charged with aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle. His bond was set at $750,000.
Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the injured 18-wheeler drive was traveling on I-20 West between Ellis Avenue and Highway 18 on February 10, 2026. As the driver attempted to change lanes, Brown said the driver of a second 18-wheeler, Macedo, attempted to prevent him from changing lanes.
The two drivers got into a dispute, and Brown said the passenger of the second 18-wheeler, Nerio, shot into the victims’ vehicle, striking him once in the shoulder…
