HOUSTON (CW39) – Htown barbecue fans, get ready! The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is set to sizzle with flavor as it hosts the 2026 World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest from February 26–28, 2026 at NRG Park. More than 250 teams from across the country will compete for top honors in this highly anticipated cookoff – a Houston tradition for goers.
With over 250 teams competing and multiple public venues offering entertainment, the 2026 World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest promises a weekend full of flavor, fun, and music in the heart of Houston.
While most team tents are invitation-only, visitors can still enjoy several public venues packed with food, music, and entertainment. Highlights also include The Garden Stage, the Rockin’ Bar-B-Que Saloon, and the Chuckwagon, all offering live performances, DJ sets, and lots of opportunities to enjoy barbecue.
