NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – The last time 19-year-old Keydi Matute Antunez was seen alive was when she walked out of the Punto Latino Mini Mart on Chef Menteur Highway Sunday afternoon after buying food for her family and her two 6-month-old twin sons.
The young mom was trying to cross the highway at Plum Orchard Road to reach her trailer park home on the other side when a car in the westbound far-left lane hit her. The car went across the median while Antunez lay on the road, and then another car hit her.
The New Orleans Police Department says the crash happened after 6 p.m. and left Antunez dead at the scene…
