Wellington Fire Rescue was dispatched at 3:42 a.m. on Sunday morning to the intersection of 50th Avenue North and North Hoover Road for a reported train derailment involving a Union Pacific Railroad train.
Upon arrival, crews located approximately 28 rail cars that had derailed from the tracks. The train was transporting grain at the time of the incident.
