SAN ANTONIO – A Northside ISD police incident report provides a minute-by-minute account of what happened Feb. 10, when student-athlete Jaren Lawson began experiencing serious medical issues during an intense offseason workout.
According to the report obtained by News 4, Lawson started having problems around 12:30. The report says he was “having trouble keeping his balance” and seemed “very lethargic.”
At 12:37, the athletic trainer and her assistant were called to assist, the report states. At 12:42, the trainer went to get a wheelchair. After the trainers talked to Lawson for a few minutes, head coach Anthony Boykin came over and helped get Lawson into the wheelchair…
