Traffic stop leads to reckless driving Monday night

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — On Monday night, a traffic stop ended in multiple charges, including DWI and reckless driving.

Tavis Reisdorfer, 18, of Sioux Falls, was arrested for DWI, reckless driving, aggravated looting, possession of marijuana, and open container in the incident, police said.

Sgt. Aaron Benson said at Tuesday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, a traffic officer saw a Chrysler 300 driving northbound on Cliff Avenue at 74 mph in a 30 mph zone. The officer then stopped the vehicle at 10th Street and Cliff Avenue and went up to speak to the driver.

The driver looked at the officer and immediately accelerated and headed westbound on 10th Street at an estimated speed of 80 mph. The officer noted that there were several vehicles on the roadway, along with pedestrians who were standing on 10th Street and Indiana Avenue…
