‘Our resort ran out of food’: Seattle tourist describes Puerto Vallarta after cartel leader’s killing

PUERTO VALLARTA, Jalisco — Jolene Jang flew south from Seattle on Friday, hoping to trade gray skies for sunshine. By Sunday morning, she said, guests at her Puerto Vallarta resort were being told not to leave.

“We had a code red to stay in place and not leave,” Jang said to KING 5 via Zoom.
