Post Falls man dies in Grand Canyon rafting incident

POST FALLS, Idaho – A Post Falls man was killed in a rafting incident in the Grand Canyon on February 19, according to a press release from the National Park Service (NPS).

The man was identified as 30-year-old Aaron Benjamin, who entered the water at the top of Hance Rapid at mile 77 of the Colorado River.

“Members of the group pulled him from the water, found him unresponsive and began CPR,” NPS said. “Park rangers were flown to the location by park helicopter; all resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.”…
