AUGUSTA TWP., MI – Voters in Augusta Township will decide whether to rezone more than 500 acres of land just outside Milan for a proposed computer data center.
If residents reject the rezoning, New York City–based Thor Equities will have to reconsider the location for its planned $1 billion facility. The proposal — which would shift the property from Agricultural Residential to General Industrial — is set to appear on the August 2026 ballot.
A local citizen group’s petition gathered more than the required 561 valid signatures to put the rezoning proposal on the future ballot.
