Police identify man shot, killed after ‘butchering’ his family inside Virginia apartment

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Fairfax County police have identified those involved in a brutal domestic-related stabbing that led to an officer-involved shooting early Monday morning in Mantua.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department, officers responded around 5 a.m. to the 3900 block of Persimmon Drive for a reported assault.

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from stab wounds outside the apartment. Inside, police said they found 54-year-old Chhatra Thapa of Fairfax armed with a knife and kneeling over another man. A second woman was also found stabbed inside the residence…
