Passenger arrested for drug and gun charges after traffic stop; NCPD reports

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A traffic stop ended with the passenger being arrested for drug and firearm charges on Tuesday afternoon in North Charleston.

An officer with the North Charleston Police Department pulled over a car after the driver had ignored the traffic signal at the Rivers Avenue and McMillan Avenue intersection.

The officer reported a smell of marijuana as she approached the vehicle, and said the driver admitted to smoking in the car, with a rolled joint near the driver’s seat…
