CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Gary T. Kenney, pastor of The Garden Church and retired U.S. Army master sergeant, has announced his candidacy for Montgomery County Commission, District 16.
A combat veteran who served two tours at Fort Campbell, Kenney retired from the Army and settled in Clarksville in 1994. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he said he “fell in love with Clarksville” during his military service. He and his wife, Carolyn, a Brownsville native, were married in Clarksville in 1981.
Kenney pastors The Garden Church (located at 381 Highway 149) and previously served as director of Safe Harbor of Tennessee, a residential drug and alcohol recovery center. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management and organizational development from Bethel University…
