A 29-year-old Milpitas man has died after a violent motorcycle crash at the intersection of Cedar Boulevard and Stevenson Boulevard in Newark last Thursday, according to police. Emergency crews rushed the rider to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Newark police said alcohol may have been a factor as investigators work to piece together what happened.
What investigators say
In a news release from the Newark Police Department, the Traffic Unit reported that the motorcycle struck a traffic island and then a traffic signal at Cedar and Stevenson.
