LAKE WALES, Fla. — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash it says killed a man after he rear-ended a semi-truck on State Road 60 West at West Lake Wales Road North.
It happened at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, shutting down eastbound S.R. 60 for four hours.
Investigators say a 32-year-old Bartow man was driving a 2022 Kia K5 sedan east when he crashed into the back of the semi-truck for unknown reasons. First responders say he was not wearing a seatbelt, but the airbags did deploy. He died at the scene…
