K Brew is transforming a roughly 5,000-square-foot warehouse on Broadway into a full-service bakery and walk-in market, a big next step for the local coffee chain. The North Knoxville project will ramp up production and add a new market-style space where customers can walk in for fresh goods.
The plan
According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, the Broadway warehouse will serve double duty as both a full-service bakery and a walk-in market. The space is designed to handle higher daily production of bagels, pastries and other baked goods for K Brew’s cafés, while also giving customers retail access and supporting larger wholesale orders.
