Honey Cooper, a fourth grader from San Bernardino, Southern California, is making history. According to KABC, at just 10 years old, she is juggling her regular classes at Kimbark Elementary and taking college courses at San Bernardino Valley College. The outlet says she splits her days between elementary school and college, a schedule that would be a stretch for most adults, let alone a kid. Honey is one of the youngest students in the area to pull this off, and it’s hard not to be impressed.
School officials say it’s rare to see someone like Honey enroll so early. They point to her academic skills, but also the strong support she gets at home and at school. Her principal even called it highly unusual for someone her age, and said they didn’t make the decision lightly…
