Bryan woman in county jail after alleged escape from Northwest Community Corrections

A Bryan woman, who reportedly climbed into a ceiling vent at the Northwest Community Corrections facility in Bowling Green on Tuesday (Feb. 24) was charged with escape and taken to Wood County Jail.

Trisha Lane, 40, was being held at the corrections center, 1740 E. Gypsy Lane Road, for a probation violation of the original charge of possession of drugs. She had reportedly returned from a furlough and failed a urine drug test.

Bowling Green Police and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office responded to the corrections center around 9 p.m., to assist with the search for Lane. She had reportedly dismantled a ceiling vent in a bathroom, and it was unknown if she had escaped the facility or if she was still somewhere inside…
