Anthony Wayne Local Schools changes picture day policy amid public concerns with Lifetouch Photography

WHITEHOUSE, Ohio (WTVG) – Anthony Wayne Local Schools is changing its approach to picture day amid recent allegations with photography company Lifetouch, according to a letter sent to families.

13 Action News obtained a letter sent to AWLS families, outlining an ‘opt-in only’ procedure for picture day. Students will now be required to have a signed permission slip to be photographed. The letter specifically addresses families at Fallen Timbers Middle School, Monclova, Waterville and Whitehouse Primary.

“Anthony Wayne Local Schools has contracted with Lifetouch, an independent photography company, to take annual student portraits for several years,” the statement to families read. “We understand that there are recent speculations and allegations regarding Lifetouch.”…
