Southern California man stopped with 60+ pounds of meth near Oregon border

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — A traffic stop in Siskiyou County led to the seizure of about 61 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of a Southern California man, Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Officers said.

On Thursday, Feb. 19, at about 1:30 p.m., an SCSO sergeant assigned to the Domestic Highway Enforcement Team stopped a 2013 Kia Optima for multiple violations. During the stop, the sergeant observed “numerous criminal indicators,” which led to a search of the vehicle.
