The Hoboken City Council approved a restructuring of the municipal government that includes two new departments and one new division, as well as the appointments of Mayor Emily Jabbour’s senior leadership team, at last night’s virtual meeting.
3rd Ward Councilman Mike Russo opposed not necessarily the restructuring itself, but doing so without any information on the budget.
He said that since a closed session was supposed to take place prior to Monday evening’s meeting to discuss budget details was postponed until next month, he suggested this ordinance be moved as well.
